Hi, I’m Lucas
I’m a portrait and fine art photographer based in Manchester, drawn to creating imagery that feels honest, expressive, and alive.
My path has led through art galleries, digital media, and interior photography - each chapter shaping the way I see light, form, and atmosphere. These experiences taught me that every space, every person, carries a quiet story waiting to be revealed.
I bring together technical precision and a love for storytelling to craft images with depth and emotion. Whether I’m working with individuals, families, or creative professionals, my focus remains the same - to create photographs that hold both character and emotional depth
My work celebrates natural light, genuine connection, and a collaborative process — whether in the studio or on location.
Rooted in both fine art and commercial practice, my work aims to celebrate individuality and timeless simplicity - capturing not just how someone looks, but how they feel.
The story
My story began years ago with a simple digital camera — the kind you had to wrestle with just to capture what you imagined. I bought it after saving for three months, knowing almost nothing about photography and what it truly meant to be a photographer.
In those early days, I had to learn to see — to really see — how light could shape feeling, mood, and emotion.
Photography has led me down many winding paths. My professional journey began in the heart of a Dublin art gallery, where I photographed objects that didn’t move, yet somehow breathed. Jewellery, sculptures, paintings — each one demanded patience and attention to details.
Eventually, I turned my lens toward interiors — hotels, restaurants, and spaces full of symmetry and soul. I built a small agency and created images that helped others tell their visual stories.
And yet, something was missing.
After a quiet break, portraits called to me — not just faces, but stories and emotions.
Today, I create portraits and fine art images that reach beyond the surface. I want to see what lies beneath: the laughter in your eyes, the dream behind your smile, the truth of who you really are.
For me, photography isn’t about creating something new — it’s about revealing what’s already there, waiting quietly to be seen.
If you’re drawn to portraits that carry emotions and soul - I’d be honoured to create something meaningful with you.
